Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Built for Friday platform ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not access or use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Built for Friday ("BFF") is an Operations Orchestration platform that enables organizations to manage hybrid teams of humans and AI agents. The Service includes but is not limited to:

• Task management and assignment for human and AI team members
• Visual workflow automation with human-in-the-loop capabilities
• Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and Work Instruction management
• Schedule management and shift planning
• The Impact Cascade Engine for automated change propagation
• AI agent configuration, monitoring, and self-service capabilities
• Multi-tenant organization and team management

3. Account Registration

3.1 Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account.

3.3 Accurate Information

You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate and complete.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Violate any applicable law, regulation, or third-party rights
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other malicious code
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or networks
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any aspect of the Service
• Use the Service to build a competing product or service
• Scrape, harvest, or collect information from the Service without authorization
• Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation

5. Your Data

5.1 Ownership

You retain all rights and ownership of the data you upload, create, or generate through the Service ("Your Data"). We do not claim ownership over Your Data.

5.2 License to BFF

You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use, process, and store Your Data solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service. This license terminates when you delete Your Data or close your account.

5.3 Multi-Tenant Isolation

Your Data is logically isolated from other organizations using the Service. We implement Row-Level Security and tenant-scoped access controls to ensure your data is only accessible to authorized members of your organization.

5.4 Data Portability

You may export Your Data at any time through the available export features in the Service or by contacting our support team.

6. AI Agents & Automation

6.1 AI Agent Responsibility

When you configure AI agents within BFF, you remain responsible for the actions and outputs of those agents. BFF provides the orchestration layer, but you are responsible for reviewing agent configurations, monitoring agent activity, and ensuring agents operate within your desired parameters.

6.2 Human-in-the-Loop

Certain workflow steps may require human approval before proceeding. You are responsible for ensuring that appropriate human oversight is configured for critical operations.

6.3 Third-Party Agent Services

If you connect third-party AI services to BFF, you are also subject to those services' terms and conditions. BFF is not responsible for the behavior of third-party AI models or services.

7. Subscription & Billing

7.1 Plans & Pricing

The Service is offered under various subscription plans as described on our pricing page. Prices are subject to change with 30 days' notice.

7.2 Billing Cycle

Subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis, depending on the plan selected. All fees are non-refundable except as expressly stated in these Terms.

7.3 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period. You will retain access to the Service until the end of your paid period.

8. Intellectual Property

8.1 BFF Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, documentation, and branding, is owned by Built for Friday and is protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks, logos, or brand features.

8.2 Feedback

If you provide feedback, suggestions, or ideas about the Service, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to use and incorporate that feedback into the Service without obligation to you.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, OR ERROR-FREE, OR THAT ANY DEFECTS WILL BE CORRECTED.

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, BUILT FOR FRIDAY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATED TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO BFF IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Built for Friday, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, United States, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.

14. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
